Hodge had fun this February. Here are a few picture from the month!
Matt's mom and dad sent Hodge the cutest card for Valentine's Day. Hodge loved the card because it played a song and his Yaya put two suckers in the envelope for him to enjoy. He loves to open our mail so he was excited that he received a card in the mail. You can tell by the look on his face that he was a happy boy when he received his Valentine's Day card from his Yaya and Teadaddy!
My mom gave Hodge these shoes at Christmas and I had kind of forgotten about them. I found them in his closet the other day. I was getting Hodge dressed for school one morning and I could not find his Nikes so I showed him these shoes. He said, "Oh cool shoes!" I thought it was funny that he called them cool. After he got home from school that day we were in the backyard playing and he took his shoes off before he played in his sand box. I always tell him to take his shoes off before he plays in the sand and he remembered this day because he did not want to get his cool shoes dirty!
Hodge loves toast with jelly! One morning he was eating his breakfast and said, "Look mommy my toast is a boat!" It did look like a tugboat. He has a tugboat toy and the shape was the same. A few days later he did the same thing but this time he took the perfect bites to make his toast look like a choo choo train. I guess he can do origami with toast by taking bites out of it! He is creative!
We finally took Hodge to get a pair of cowboy boots. He was very excited! He wore them out of the store.
The next day Hodge wanted to wear his cowboy boots to school. His school has a rule that the kids cannot wear cowboys boots to class. We let him wear them but took another pair of shoes so he could change once he got to class. His teacher said that he could wear them all day! He was happy that he got to keep them on!
We went to the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Thursday evening. We headed out to the fairgrounds around 5:30 that evening. We started off at the kids area! Hodge enjoyed the petting zoo and a pony ride! We got some rodeo food for dinner and then watched the junior livestock show, pig judging. Then it was time to head over to the coliseum to watch the Rodeo. Hodge lasted about an hour then he was ready to go. We had a great time and we enjoyed ourselves.
