ASU....Go RAMS!

Here is Hodge wearing his new jumpsuit and ASU T-shirt! I think he looks pretty cute!

Jack and Hodge

Hodge and Jack have been playing together more and more these days. I think they have a love-hate relationship. Jack is very protective of Hodge but at the same time if Hodge picks on Jack, Jack will give it back to him in a second. Here are a few photos of them in action. Enjoy!

Hodge really needs his own chair. I found him sitting in Jack's chair in the playroom.

When Hodge got up Jack took his chair back.

Hodge really wanted to share with him.

Jack ran him off, Hodge was very upset.

Breakfast with the boys.

Hodge loves eggs but when he is full he starts to feed Jack. Hodge laughs after each bite he gives Jack.

15 Year Reunion!!!

September 18 and 19 I had my 15 year reunion. It was so much fun seeing old friends. I really had not seen some of my old classmates in 15 years. Friday night we had a tailgate party before the homecoming game. Saturday we had lunch and a get together in the gym at my mom's day care. (Thanks Mom and Dad!) Then after that we took a tour of the high school. Saturday night a few of us went out to Rihn's, what we call a beer joint, and we had a great time. I saw so many old friends that night that I grew up with. I go back to Devine almost once a month but I never take time out of my trip to visit friends. I want to start making the effort to visit with my friends back home when I am in Devine. I had a great weekend and I am looking forward to our next reunion!

Hodge was entertained by Pawpaw all weekend.

Hodge had fun in my dad's garage!
My dad and Hodge are like two peas in a pod. They have so much fun together!

Junior League of Midland Tailgate Party

Tuesday, September 15 we had our first general meeting of 2009. The theme was a tailgate party, so you could dress in your best fanatic wear. I borrowed an Angelo State University cheerleading uniform. This was not one of the uniforms that I cheered in during my five years as a cheerleader at ASU. Yes, five years!!! My thought was that football players can play football for 5 years if they red shirt so why not cheer five years. When I went back to ASU to try on the uniforms I felt old. I do not remember the skirts being that short but my mother said that they were. Well, it was fun being a cheerleader for a few hours again and I won the big prize of the night.  I won a copy of The ELF on the Shelf book that Miss Cayce's donated to us for a prize. Everyone has told me that this book and little Elf are a big hit with children and families during Christmas time. I cannot wait until Hodge and I read this book and put the Elf out on our self. This was a win win for me and Hodge! Go RAMS!!!!

A visit with Nana and a trip to Angelo State!

Saturday, September 12, Matt, Hodge, Jack and I all headed down to San Angelo. Our plan was to have lunch with Matt's grandmother, Nana, go to the Angelo State University Alumni Ram Jam, then go to the game and stay the night. We had reservations to stay at a hotel close to campus that allowed small pets! This is always a good thing so we can travel with Jack. But when we got to San Angelo it was raining big time. I always appreciate the rain that the Lord brings however Ram Jam was canceled and we really did not want to go to the football game and sit in the rain with a one year old. We made the most of the day. We had a wonderful lunch with Nana at Fuentes Cafe downtown San Angelo and had a great time visiting with her. Fuentes is one of our favorite places to eat in San Angelo. We also went up to campus and got some ASU t-shirts for the whole family. I even made a visit to the ASU cheerleading/dance studio on campus and borrowed an ASU cheerleading uniform for an upcoming Junior League of Midland meeting. It was fun visiting with the cheerleading coach and just being on campus. We canceled our hotel reservation and headed back to Midland that evening. It was a quick trip but fun. I wished we could have gone to the game but we are planning to go back for the next home game. Hodge will love going to Ram Jam!!!

Hodge visiting his great grandmother.

Hodge is always a big hit at all of his great grandmothers' retirement centers. Hodge had fun visiting with Nana and the other residents.

Children's Day Out, a New Cousin and Labor Day Weekend!

September 1 Hodge had his first day of Children's Day Out.

I thought this photo was funny because he was so ready to go!

Then Hodge was like where are you taking me and how long do I have to stay?

Sept. 2 Summer Deborah was born! This makes the 4th girl!

All the girls and Hodge waiting to see Summer!

The next day we went back so Hodge could see Summer up-close! He likes his new cousin!

My parents came to visit us in Midland for Labor Day Weekend.

Hodge showed Memaw our new pet! We found him on our front doorstep one day and decided to keep him in our backyard! His name is Speedy Clackston.

Hodge loves to take my dad's cap off!

Here he goes, this is now a game for Hodge.
